On the morning of December 21, the second Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 opened to the public from 9:00 a.m.

As early as 7am, thousands of people lined up from the two main gates leading to Gia Lam airport to visit. The army, police and exhibition security forces coordinated to separate the people lining up in batches to prepare to enter the exhibition.

Residents and tourists can visit from 9am-5pm on December 21 and 9am-3pm on December 22.

Speaking to VietNamNet reporters at Gia Lam airport, Major General Le Quang Tuyen, Deputy Director of the General Department of Defense Industry, said that as of this morning, more than 98,000 people had registered to visit the exhibition.

In the previous two days, the exhibition mainly welcomed visitors from the defense industry, "estimated at more than 10,000 people per day".

"On the first day of opening for people to visit, we coordinated and collaborated with the police force, the Capital Command, and operated remotely. This year, the exhibition organizing committee also opened many entrances and exits with specific instructions for people to avoid overload and congestion," said Major General Le Quang Tuyen.

The organizers also have a counter to calculate the number of people coming to the exhibition, and it is expected that there will be specific figures by the end of the day.

The exhibition has entered its third day. Major General Le Quang Tuyen initially assessed that the exhibition was very successful, all criteria and fields far exceeded initial expectations.

To visit the exhibition, visitors should remember to bring their ID or passport. It is recommended to register online in advance through the exhibition website to avoid long queues.

For those who cannot register online, they must bring their ID to register directly at the counter. In addition, they must dress formally and politely, do not wear slippers, flip-flops and shorts, do not smoke or bring pets or food into the exhibition area.

People and visitors to the exhibition can enter through 2 gates: Gate 1 is located on Nguyen Son Street, behind the gate will be a parking lot. The organizers encourage people to use this gate for convenient parking. Gate 2 is located at Long Bien Golf Course.

The organizers do not encourage children under 10 years old. For children 10 years old and above, parents should take care to ensure that their children do not touch the equipment and weapons on display. Do not bring prohibited items and follow the instructions of the security guards.

Exhibition participants need to choose appropriate clothing, preferably formal clothing and comfortable shoes for easy movement in the exhibition area.
