Dien Hong Award is an annual award presented to outstanding press works about the National Assembly and People's Councils organized by the National Assembly Office in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam Journalists Association, Vietnam Television, and Hanoi People's Council.
The works participating in the contest focus on reflecting the main contents: the meaning and results of the National Assembly sessions, focusing on the 5th extraordinary session, 7th session and 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
The process and results of the implementation of the functions, tasks and powers of the National Assembly in constitutional and legislative activities, supreme supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country.
The significance and importance of the decisions of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and People's Councils at all levels, especially newly issued decisions; outstanding results in the supervisory activities of agencies and elected representatives.
The National Assembly's foreign affairs activities in implementing the foreign policy of the Party and State contribute to creating a peaceful and stable environment for national development and maintaining national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity...
The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad, and people with foreign nationality.
In case many people create the same work, the prize will be awarded to the group of authors (the maximum number of authors in a group is 7 people; for large radio and television programs, the group of authors has a maximum of 10 people with main positions such as scriptwriter, editor, director, cameraman, host). Each author or group of authors can submit a maximum of 5 works.
Works participating in the third Dien Hong Award - 2025 are written in Vietnamese (or ethnic minority languages, foreign languages translated into Vietnamese), published and broadcast from December 6, 2023 to November 20, 2024 in newspapers, radio stations, and magazines licensed by competent authorities to operate press.
The types of journalism participating in the award include print newspapers, print magazines, electronic newspapers, electronic magazines, audio newspapers, and visual newspapers. The types of journalism participating in the award are works belonging to 3 groups of genres: news agencies; political commentary and artistic political commentary; some genres of multimedia journalism and data journalism; including: news, reflection articles, interviews, comments, essays, political commentary, reports, investigative reports, notes, journalistic notes, exchanges, seminars, documentaries, press photos, data journalism...
