Young people have the opportunity to access and apply technology faster than previous generations, so they play an important role in digital transformation, according to Ho Chi Minh City leaders.
At the opening session of the 7th International Student Science Forum (ISSF) with the theme "The role of youth in digital transformation", on the morning of October 7, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, highly appreciated the role of young people - the subject of digital consumers and creators. According to him, the biggest challenge in digital transformation for each country and locality is first the digital skills of the people, then the habits and culture of living in a digital environment.
The Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City believes that young people will be the ones to lead society into the digital world. The creativity, enthusiasm and knowledge of young people will help society overcome challenges.
He encouraged all young people, including students at ISSF, to always learn, research and actively participate in this process, becoming active subjects in the digital transformation of each country.

With this goal in mind, over the years, the city has always attached great importance to and invested heavily in comprehensive digital transformation solutions in all fields and in developing the digital economy.
To support young people, Mr. Duc said, the city government has been building innovation policies and strategies, encouraging investment in information technology and artificial intelligence, creating favorable conditions for start-up activities.

She hopes to expand the network of schools, connect ISSF with other prestigious academic forums in the region and internationally, connect student research with businesses and state agencies to enhance the exchange of academic knowledge between students and lecturers.
ISSF is an annual event organized by the Student Association in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union since 2016. This year's forum has the participation of more than 60 delegates, including international students, lecturers, and scientists from India and several Southeast Asian countries, along with nearly 40 Vietnamese delegates. The activity aims to create an environment for exchange, learning, and discussion between Vietnamese students and students at universities around the world, participating in research on a number of core technologies and new technologies. At this year's ISSF, students presented research results in plenary sessions and poster reports on three main topics: technological solutions to promote digital transformation, digital transformation in culture - education, and enhancing digital capacity for youth.
