Thai Nguyen promotes tourism in Ho Chi Minh City

The conference was held to promote and introduce to delegates the destinations, products, potentials and strengths of tourism in Thai Nguyen province. Provide a list of projects to attract investment in the tourism sector, find investment partners, sign cooperation agreements to exploit and develop tourism resources, and diversify tourism products. Promote cooperation with provinces and cities across the country in tourism development, promote the image of Thai Nguyen tourism to domestic and foreign tourists.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen province, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Tourism Development of Thai Nguyen province said that Thai Nguyen province currently has 550 heritages, 19 typical and unique heritages listed for preservation and conservation, 299 ranked relics, and is a province associated with 08 Northeastern - Northern provinces. The whole province has 200 OCOP products, including 05 5-star tea products, the province encourages people to grow tea to get rich. Nui Coc Lake tourist area is recognized as a national tourist area, with a lake surface area of ​​2,500 hectares.

"The province is building a belt road around the lake, 02 resort golf courses in this area. We are building 04 main product lines: Spiritual culture - returning to the source, resort tourism, community tourism, mice tourism. 2023 is an important turning point for the province, ranking in the top of self-funding, reaching more than 20,000 billion VND from the budget", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan emphasized.

Also at the Conference, Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration said that, besides the achieved results, Thai Nguyen tourism has not developed the market and promoted tourism. Tourism products and services lack competitiveness, are not highly connected, and are not commensurate with the tourism potential of the region.

From there, Mr. Ha Van Sieu suggested that in the coming time, Thai Nguyen should focus on developing tourism in a professional, modern, and in-depth direction; orienting development planning to minimize tourism products that are similar or overlapping among localities in the region.

Promote regional cooperation and linkage, while focusing on enhancing the effective exploitation of intra-provincial and intra-regional tourism to create an increasingly better foundation for local tourism service infrastructure to better meet the requirements and tasks of regional cooperation and linkage.

Measure the effectiveness of businesses through the support of localities and functional sectors for travel businesses to promote bringing tourists to Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces and vice versa, the provinces and cities in the South increase the promotion of bringing tourists to Thai Nguyen and the Northern provinces.

In addition, localities within the region proactively link, cooperate to build, introduce tourism products, and promote intra-regional tourism stimulus packages to each other in the direction of incentives, priorities, and support for the use of each other's services, and together promote the improvement of service quality for tourists. At the same time, periodically evaluate the results of linkage and cooperation and jointly set new tasks for the next development stage between localities, regions, and areas.
