When starting to work at a business, or further, staying with the company for a long time, in addition to their own efforts and dedication, employees always want to receive compatible values from the company. Understanding that, THACO AGRI has been building a working environment that brings many values and good benefits to employees. Investing in facilities, improving quality of life In 2019, THACO established Truong Hai Agricultural Joint Stock Company (THACO AGRI) to implement an agricultural production investment strategy on an area of 84,000 hectares in 3 countries: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. To date, THACO AGRI has invested and basically completed a large-scale agricultural production model on an organic basis in an integrated/circular direction, including: Growing bananas, pineapples, fruit trees (durian, mango, grapefruit ...), forestry trees; raising cows, pigs, fish and other species; food processing and production; production of materials, mechanics and agricultural equipment. The complexes are planned and invested in synchronous technical infrastructure and works on land to serve production and business activities, ensuring bio-safety and welfare for workers. Due to the nature of the industry and specific jobs, THACO AGRI's workers often have to stay on farms and ranches, all living facilities are located in the complexes. Therefore, in recent times, THACO AGRI has focused on investing in and building free housing areas, guesthouses, cafeterias, multi-purpose houses, and convenience stores in the complexes to help workers improve their quality of life, work with peace of mind and stay with the Group. Up to now, THACO AGRI has built and upgraded 1,105 houses for workers, including 288 houses at Koun Mom Industrial Park, 112 houses at Snuol Industrial Park, 256 houses at Ia Puch Industrial Park and 449 houses at HAGL AGRICO Laos Industrial Park. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Long, a medical specialist at Ia Puch Beef Factory, shared: "Seeing many works serving the daily lives of workers being invested in and built by the company, we are very happy and excited". Currently, at Snuol, Koun Mom Industrial Park (Cambodia) and HAGL AGRICO (Laos), a clean water filtration system with an average capacity of 5-15 m3/hour and RO drinking water of 200-500 liters/hour has been put into operation, to ensure the quality of life and health of employees. The water filtration system has been installed in the executive offices, factories, and enterprises and has been brought to the residential area, meeting the needs of nearly 15,000 workers. In the coming time, THACO AGRI will continue to deploy the clean water project to all factories and enterprises in the KLH.The KLH Snuol Training Department has completed the procedures and conditions to merge the training program of primary school teaching classes into the Cambodian national education system - Photo: VGP/Le Nguyen
Aiming to optimize benefits for workers Not only investing in building infrastructure, helping workers have a more comfortable and convenient life, THACO AGRI also fully implements welfare policies and has the most practical support for employees, such as: Signing labor contracts; paying health insurance, social insurance; establishing medical clinics and providing free medicine; organizing shuttle buses for employees and workers to go home for Tet. Mr. Nguyen Hieu Nghia, a fish farming technician at KLH Snuol shared: "Before, every time Tet was approaching, I was worried about buying bus tickets to go home. But since working at THACO AGRI, the company has supported me with free shuttle buses every time Tet comes and Spring comes. This helps me save on travel costs, ensure safety and have more time for my family". In particular, THACO AGRI also opens free elementary school cultural classes for Cambodian children working at KLHs. Thanks to that, families of workers in difficult circumstances have the opportunity to send their children to school. In addition to opening classes, the Group also always cares about the spiritual and material life of the children, through building children's playgrounds, donating clothes, books, school supplies or organizing entertainment activities on international children's holidays, Mid-Autumn Festival, etc. As one of the employees who have been with HAGL AGRICO Laos KLH since the early days, Mr. Pham Huu Kha, Director of 9 Buoi Farm, said that in the past, KLH was still primitive, with inadequate facilities, bumpy roads, and harsh weather, but now, KLH has made significant changes. Thanks to the close attention of the Board of Directors and practical welfare policies, Mr. Kha and many employees have stable jobs, and their quality of life is increasingly improved. Not only devoted and devoted to the Group, Mr. Kha also encouraged nearly 10 relatives in his family to work and stay at KLH. "The remarkable change of KLH is a testament to the company's and our efforts," Mr. Kha added. In 2024, THACO AGRI will recruit more than 12,600 employees to meet production and business needs. In addition to investing in facilities, THACO AGRI also focuses on perfecting policies and welfare regimes for employees, while building a cultural and convenient working environment to attract suitable personnel, aiming for sustainable development.Le Nguyen
