At 10:00 a.m. this morning (February 12, 2025), 4 cyclists representing Vietnamese women's amateur cycling, Ton Hoang Khanh Lan, Pham Minh Nhan, Truong Thi Quynh, Hoang Thi Hang, entered the Road Race - Women Master. Although this was their first time competing in the continental arena, all 4 cyclists showed the highest determination, aiming for a gold medal for Vietnamese sports.

The Vietnamese cyclists showed their perseverance right from the first meters of the race. In the sprint stage, all four Vietnamese female cyclists were still clinging to the first group. In the last meters before the finish line, Ton Hoang Khanh Lan showed her strength with a spectacular sprint, thereby winning the Asian gold medal.
The remaining 3 Vietnamese cyclists, Pham Minh Nhan, Truong Thi Quynh, and Hoang Thi Hang, all won bronze medals.

This is the second gold medal for Vietnamese cyclists at the Asian Cycling Championship taking place in Thailand. Previously, on February 8, "veteran" Hoang Hai Nam won convincingly in the individual time trial event for men over 60 years old, marking a historic milestone for the country's sports cycling movement.
