On the afternoon of July 2, Soc Son District Police (Hanoi) announced that they had detained Ngo Ngoc Tu (born in 1998, in Minh Tri Commune, Soc Son District) for resisting a person on official duty.

Previously, at around 8:40 p.m. on June 26, the Traffic Police - Order Team (Soc Son District Police) was on duty on Noi Bai Road (Mai Dinh Commune) when they discovered Ngo Ngoc Tu driving a motorbike at high speed in the direction of Provincial Road 131 to National Highway 3, so they signaled the vehicle to stop.

However, Tu did not comply, drove at high speed and hit Captain Nguyen Duc Dan, causing him to fall onto the road. Captain Nguyen Duc Dan suffered two head injuries and injuries to his legs and arms, and is being treated at Soc Son General Hospital.

On the morning of July 2, Colonel Pham Thanh Hung, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, and leaders of several functional departments visited Soc Son General Hospital to visit and encourage Captain Nguyen Duc Dan.

Mr. Ta Van Sung, Director of Soc Son General Hospital, said that Captain Nguyen Duc Dan was given emergency treatment for a head injury and scratches on his legs and arms. Although the injury was not too serious, it was a strong impact and needed timely treatment to avoid complications. The hospital has directed specialized doctors to treat the patient.

Colonel Pham Thanh Hung, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, sent his thanks to the hospital's doctors and nurses for taking good care of Captain Nguyen Duc Dan.

In addition, the Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police requested functional departments and Soc Son District Police to consider and resolve policies and regimes, propose the best measures, and create all conditions for Captain Nguyen Duc Dan to feel secure during treatment.

On behalf of the family, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuoi (wife of Captain Nguyen Duc Dan) sincerely thanked the Deputy Director of the City Police Department and the functional departments for their timely care and encouragement when her husband was injured while on duty.
