Specifically, Ernst Thälmann High School (District 1), last year had a competition ratio of approximately 1/1.8, but this year the competition ratio has decreased to 1/1.3. Because last year the benchmark score for this school was high, this year students have consulted and reduced their choices. Similarly, the competition ratio for Luong The Vinh High School (District 1) this year has also decreased from 1/1.4 to 1/1...
Therefore, according to teachers at Chu Van An Secondary School, if students want to adjust their 10th grade wishes, they must base their academic performance and their place of residence on whether the school is convenient for their family's travel conditions during the 3 years of high school. In addition, they should also refer to the benchmark scores of the previous school year to make a decision.
In addition, teacher Ho Tan Dat noted: The benchmark scores of Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1) and Luong The Vinh High School (District 1) are close to each other, so students should not choose Bui Thi Xuan High School as their first choice and Luong The Vinh High School as their second choice because the chance of passing will be low. Instead, they should choose one of these two schools as their first choice.
If students have average academic performance, they should not apply to schools like Ernst Thälmann High School (District 1). To apply to this school, they need to have good academic performance. According to Mr. Dat, if students have average academic performance and live in District 1, they can choose schools in District 4 and District 8 such as Nguyen Huu Tho High School, Luong Van Can High School... These schools have lower admission scores and the travel distance is still within the allowable distance limit according to the regulations of the GIS map.
According to the regulations of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, starting from tomorrow, May 15 to May 21, students can adjust their 10th grade wishes.
