From November 4-8, the delegation of the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Dinh led by Mr. Vo Mai Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, together with leaders of specialized departments under the Department, the Binh Dinh Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, representatives of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh, and the Economic Department of Hoai Nhon town, came to exchange information and learn experiences in the management and development of industrial clusters; industrial promotion activities and industrial development consulting in the provinces of Vinh Long, Long An and Can Tho City.

In Can Tho City, receiving and working with the Delegation, there were Mr. Huynh Thanh Su - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade and leaders of specialized departments under the Department, leaders of the Can Tho City Industrial Promotion Center. At the meeting, Mr. Huynh Thanh Su gave an overview of the industrial development situation, industrial park and cluster development activities, industrial promotion activities and industrial development consulting in the city. Accordingly, Can Tho City has issued legal documents, city policies and mechanisms to attract investment development activities and industrial parks and clusters in the city as well as industrial promotion activities in accordance with the characteristics and socio-economic conditions of the city, building local industrial promotion activity expenditure levels, in 2024, the local industrial promotion budget will be nearly 600 million VND...

In Vinh Long province, Mr. Tran Nhut Thanh - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province and leaders of specialized departments under the Department, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting, and the Center for Trade Promotion of Vinh Long province received and worked with the delegation. At the meeting, Mr. Tran Nhut Thanh reported on the situation of activities in the industrial sector, the development of industrial zones and clusters in Vinh Long province. Accordingly, in the period of 2021 - 2030, Vinh Long province planned 09 industrial clusters and 05 industrial parks, up to now, 02 industrial clusters and 02 industrial parks have been put into operation. In 2024, Vinh Long province approved 30 projects with a total support budget of 3,622 billion VND.

In Long An province, receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Ngo Van Le - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Long An province and leaders of specialized departments under the Department, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Long An province. At the meeting, Mr. Ngo Van Le reported on the planning of industrial cluster development in the province for the period 2021-2030 with 72 industrial clusters, total area of 3,989 hectares; of which 17 industrial clusters with an area of 857 hectares have been put into operation. The Department of Industry and Trade has advised the People's Committee of Long An province to issue regulations on the development, appraisal, approval of programs, plans, projects and management, use of industrial promotion funds in Long An province to develop plans and industrial promotion programs of the industry; apply and integrate many contents and programs to provide maximum support for rural industrial establishments. The total local industrial promotion fund allocated in 2024 is 1.8 billion VND.
At the working sessions, members of the Working Group and the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long, Long An provinces and Can Tho City informed each other about the development of industry and industrial clusters; the organizational structure of the Center, industrial promotion activities and industrial development consulting of localities; and exchanged and shared practical experiences in state management in the field of management and development of industrial clusters; industrial promotion activities and industrial development consulting in recent times.
At the end of the working sessions, Mr. Vo Mai Hung - Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Department of Industry and Trade expressed his thanks to the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long, Long An provinces and Can Tho city for their attention in arranging time to welcome and carefully preparing working content to share with the delegation; The delegation of Binh Dinh Department of Industry and Trade received and acknowledged the achieved results, practical and effective contents, good experiences in solving problems arising in practice in industrial development activities and supporting industrial promotion projects... to continue to research, apply and deploy in accordance with the specific actual situation in the locality. At the same time, through the occasions when Binh Dinh province organizes industry events, invites the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long, Long An provinces and Can Tho city to continue connecting, exchanging information, learning experiences in the field of Industry and Trade in Binh Dinh province.
