Nha Trang Central Pedagogical College announces payment of living allowance for pedagogical students
Today (January 12), Mr. Nguyen Trung Trieu, Principal of Nha Trang Central Pedagogical College, said that the school is completing procedures to pay living allowances according to Decree 116 for pedagogical students.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training dated December 21, 2023, Nha Trang Central Pedagogical College has been fully funded to pay living expenses for students according to Decree 116 of 2020.
On January 8, the school announced payment for students studying directly at the school, at the rate of 3.63 million VND/month/student.
Specifically, students of the 2021 class will receive support from December 2022 to December 2023 (11 months), with an amount of more than 39.9 million VND/student.
Class 2022 students will receive living expenses for 9 months (from March 2023 to December 2023), with an amount of over 32.6 million VND/student.
Class of 2023, students receive living expenses for 4 months from the beginning of the school year to the end of December 2023, each person over 14.5 million VND.
To make payment in accordance with regulations, the school requires students to urgently review and confirm personal information before January 13.
Previously, as Thanh Nien Newspaper reported, in August 2023, students of Nha Trang Central Pedagogical College reported that for many months they had not received living expenses support for pedagogical students according to Decree 116.
The school representative said that there are 387 students of the 26th course enrolled in 2021 and 293 students of the 27th course enrolled in 2022. Of which, the 2021 course, students have received living expenses until the end of November 2022, and are still lacking from December 2022 to now (a total of 6 months).
For the 2022 class, students have received the above amount until the end of February 2023, and are still lacking from March until now (a total of 4 months). The reason for the delay in paying this living expense is that the school was late in receiving funding.
Decree 116 of the Government regulating the policy of supporting tuition and living expenses for pedagogical students takes effect for the enrollment period from 2021. Accordingly, pedagogical students who commit to working in the education sector will also enjoy the policy of supporting tuition and living expenses.
In addition to tuition support at the level charged by the training institution where they study, students also receive a monthly government subsidy of VND3.63 million to cover living expenses during their time at the school. However, after a period of implementation, many pedagogical students have not received their living expenses support on time as prescribed.
