Lecture hall at the enterprise
Present at the Technical Technology Training Center of Goertek Vietnam Group (Que Vo Industrial Park, Bac Ninh, specializing in researching and manufacturing products such as precision structural components, smart devices...), we were surprised by the modern, closed lecture halls invested in building in the middle of an area of dozens of hectares to implement a joint training model between the group and colleges.
Students are studying in a lecture hall of the Goertek Group training center.
In a classroom, in a quiet but enthusiastic atmosphere, dozens of students are attentively listening to the lecturer share about the stages of approaching and implementing group work, from "forming" to "conflict" to "normalizing" and finally "smooth operation".
In another lecture hall, students and lecturers are also discussing important skills when working on a production line of precision structural components, corporate culture...
It is known that these are students of the Vietnam-Korea Technology College in Bac Giang, studying in their 3rd year and are full-time interns at Goertek Group.
Nguyen Van Phuoc, a third-year student majoring in electronics, said: "To become an intern here, I have to go through an interview round. We study and experience in the factory from Monday to Saturday with lessons on soft skills, machine operation skills according to our expertise... Because the business environment is very professional and developed, our knowledge and skills are greatly improved."
The technical training center is built on an area of over 2,000 square meters.
It is known that the training center consists of 15 classrooms built on an area of over 2,100 m2 , including specialized training rooms based on the needs of each production unit, each major...; theoretical and practical training rooms; meeting rooms; rest and common rooms...
A representative of Goertek said: "There are a total of 30 full-time and part-time lecturers, selected from the group's experienced engineers. These lecturers are trained in pedagogical skills, and can meet the training needs of 400 students at the same time and 1,200 students/year."
This representative added that Goertek is currently cooperating with 5 colleges (3 in Bac Ninh, 1 in Bac Giang and 1 in Thai Nguyen), with 2 programs including internships and training oriented according to the 1+1+1 model.
Meet admission requirements, considered recruited
It is known that Bac Ninh College of Electromechanics and Construction currently has 50 students participating in the 1+1+1 model from 2022 and 100 students in industrial electronics in 2023. Mr. Truong Van Tam, Vice Principal of the school, said: "We and the business have worked together to build the program, coordinate lecturers, arrange facilities... In 2022, each second-year student will receive an additional scholarship of 10-12 million VND from Goertek and receive salary support as a third-year intern.
Students practice at the training center
Master To Giang, Vice Principal of Bac Giang Vietnam-Korea College of Technology, also informed: "In the 2023-2024 school year, the school will enroll 50 students in industrial electronics to train according to the 1+1+1 model, the condition is that the students graduate from high school and pass the preliminary round of Goetek Group. In the future, we will continue with information technology and industrial electricity professions".
According to Master Giang, when students meet the admission requirements, they are considered to have been recruited. That means after completing the course according to the process of one year of studying at college, the second year of studying a major at Goertek's training center and the third year of internship at the group's factory, they will become official employees.
Explaining the establishment of the training center and cooperation with colleges in Vietnam, a representative of Goertek shared: "We want to respond to Vietnam's vocational education development strategy, promote the rapid development of education, meet market demand combined with the company's sustainable business development needs. With the 1+1+1 training model, we hope to overcome the limitations of the traditional training model, take advantage of the resources of both schools and businesses, shorten the training time, help students approach the profession right from the beginning so that they can work right after graduation."
