On June 13, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper in collaboration with Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco) organized a seminar on "Providing clean water for socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City in the context of climate change".
In his opening speech, Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper Ly Viet Trung said that extreme climate change is predicted to occur in the near future.

Currently, Sawaco is a unit supplying clean water to households, production facilities, industrial parks and other civil activities.
With the current socio-economic development situation including spatial planning, population, technical infrastructure development, services, industrial production, agriculture, etc., the supply of clean water has met the basic needs of development.
But even in the most optimistic situation, there are still potential challenges, especially climate change, rising sea levels, drought, rapid population growth, the scale of residence, production, and construction works will have to change in the direction of adaptation.
