This morning (January 25), when people across the country officially entered the 9-day Lunar New Year 2025 holiday, a number of vehicle inspection centers across the country were still operating to serve people and businesses.
According to Giao thong Newspaper reporters, from 7:30 a.m. on January 25, when the 2903V Vehicle Inspection Center (Cau Giay, Hanoi) began operating, there were many vehicles parked in front of the yard waiting to be inspected. Most of these vehicles had expired registrations, or had registrations due during the Tet holiday but had not yet been inspected.
Mr. Pham Thang (residing in Lang, Hanoi) said that his family car's registration expired on the second day of Tet, because he was on a business trip last week so he did not have time to take the car for inspection.
"It was late when I got back to Hanoi, so I woke up early this morning to take my car for inspection. Even though the Tet holiday starts today, the inspection center is still working to serve the people. I am very grateful for this spirit of the inspectors," Mr. Thang shared.
Mr. Tran Quoc Hoan, Deputy Director in charge of Inspection Center 2903V, said that most of the vehicles that came for inspection on the last working morning were paid attention to by their owners for maintenance and repair in advance, so the quality was good. No vehicle was refused inspection, except for one case where the owner forgot the vehicle registration papers at home.
By 9:30 a.m. on January 25, this unit had inspected 25 vehicles, with no more vehicles waiting for inspection on the yard.
At the 2908D Vehicle Inspection Center (Hoai Duc, Hanoi), Mr. Tran Nguyen Sinh, Director of the center, said that the number of vehicles coming for inspection on the morning of January 25 was quite sparse.
As of 8:40 a.m., this unit inspected about 10 vehicles, mostly vehicles whose registrations had expired during the Tet holiday. With this volume of traffic, the inspection unit will close for Tet this afternoon so that inspectors can go home early to prepare for Tet with their families.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Director of Inspection Center 2927D (Pham Van Dong, Hanoi) said that by 9:00 a.m., this unit had also inspected about 10 vehicles, with only 1 vehicle on the assembly line being inspected by an inspector.
Outside the yard, there are no more cars waiting for inspection, this unit will also be closed for Tet from this afternoon as planned.
In Hung Yen, by 9:30 a.m. on January 25, Inspection Center 8905D had only inspected 7 vehicles. After waiting for quite a while, no more vehicles came for inspection. Therefore, this unit decided to let the inspectors maintain the equipment and take an early Tet holiday that same morning.
It is expected that inspection centers nationwide will return to work from Monday morning (February 3, the 6th day of Tet) according to the general working schedule of the whole country.
