On the evening of December 30, at Lam Vien Square, the People's Committee of Da Lat City (Lam Dong Province) celebrated the 130th anniversary of Da Lat's formation and development (1893-2023), receiving the title of UNESCO Creative City of Music.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai.
Throughout the program, locals and tourists can watch scenes recreating the 130-year history of the land on the Langbiang plateau.
From a wild land, through 130 years of formation and development with many ups and downs, Da Lat possesses its own unique characteristics in terms of geography, landscape, architecture, along with the enthusiastic and creative labor of all classes of people, creating a famous tourist city, "city in the forest, forest in the city", "Vietnam Flower Festival city"... and aiming to build a world heritage city, a regional center of culture, arts, sports and entertainment.
“The Party Committee, government and people of Da Lat City continue to preserve and foster the great national unity bloc; constantly improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members. In addition, strongly promote socio-economic development with the motto of taking the people as the center; the people are both the target, the subject, the driving force and the beneficiaries of the development achievements”, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai.
