On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), Tre Publishing House has just introduced the book series "Questions and answers on Vietnamese history" with a new cover version, new volumes and updated content.
According to Tre Publishing House, the need to learn about history is always a great need. Vietnamese history with thousands of years of building and defending the country has become a treasure trove of valuable knowledge, fostering patriotism and national pride; are life experiences that have been experienced and proven through practice, so that modern Vietnamese people can learn to build their own courage when integrating into the turbulent flow of the world.
Therefore, learning about national history is both a need and a requirement of the times so that every Vietnamese citizen can confidently integrate with international friends with a strong national identity.
The book series was compiled by Tre Publishing House in collaboration with lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - the Young Humanities group - in 10 volumes: Volume 1: From the beginning to the 10th century; Volume 2: Vietnam under the Ngo, Dinh, Tien Le, Ly, Tran, Ho dynasties; Volume 3: From Lam Son uprising to the first half of the 19th century; Volume 4: The first resistance war against the French (From 1858 to the end of the 19th century); Volume 5: The beginning of the 20th century to the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930); Volume 6: From the Nghe Tinh Soviet to the August Revolution (1930-1945); Volume 7: The second resistance war against the French (1945-1954); Volume 8: The resistance war against the US to save the country (1954-1965); Episode 9: From Mau Than Spring to Ho Chi Minh Campaign (1965-1975); Episode 10: Vietnam - Journey of construction and development (from 1975 to present).
Compared to the previous edition, the book series has added content about a new historical period in volume 10. Volumes 1-9 have been adjusted and supplemented according to the latest updates, and especially the new attractive cover, aimed at young readers.
The book series is edited by Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Nam Tien. Each book is presented in a question-and-answer format that will delve into a specific period, ensuring scientific accuracy but also being concise, brief, and easy to read.
Each book includes 100 questions about historical figures and typical events of each period. Readers can easily look up the question index to find interesting and rich information in each question such as: Who was awarded the title of Two-Country Champion of Vietnam? Which historical figure was awarded the title of King of the Swamp? Who was the famous Yen The Tiger? The Southern Vietnam Liberation Army had a female deputy commander, so who was she? From the period of renovation to 2022, how many World Heritage Sites of Vietnam has UNESCO honored?... along with many other unique figures and events.
This question-and-answer format is suitable for the fast pace of modern life. Readers can read a few sentences in a short period of time or look up the exact content they need immediately. This book is ideal for doing history test sets, exam preparation, and knowledge games.
