Quang Nam will support housing for more than 8,000 poor households in the period 2021 - 2025

(People's life) - The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just issued a Project to Support Housing for Poor and Near-Poor Households in Poor Districts under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period in the province.

Accordingly, the subjects receiving housing support include: Poor households, near-poor households (according to the multidimensional poverty standard for the period 2021-2025) in the list of poor households, near-poor households managed by the People's Committee at the commune level, residing in poor districts and being independent households with a period of separation until the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025 takes effect for at least 3 years.

The project beneficiaries do not include households that have received housing support under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period and other programs, projects and policies. The project is implemented in communes and towns in poor districts in Quang Nam province: Nam Tra My, Bac Tra My, Dong Giang, Tay Giang, Nam Giang and Phuoc Son.

The project sets the goal for the 2021-2025 period to support housing for 8,179 poor and near-poor households (including: 5,936 newly built households; 2,243 repaired households) in poor districts to have safe, stable housing, capable of withstanding the impacts of natural disasters, contributing to improving the quality of life and sustainable poverty reduction.

According to the Project, the State directly supports each household to build new or repair houses, the community helps, and households organize to build houses themselves. Households are supported with housing, granted Certificates of land use rights, house ownership rights and other assets attached to land according to the provisions of the law on land (if requested).

After receiving support for new construction or repair, the house must ensure a minimum usable area of ​​30 m2 and a life span of 20 years or more; households are encouraged to build new or repair houses with an average housing area per capita of 8 m2 or more.

New construction support rate: 46 million VND/house (household). Repair support rate: 23 million VND/house (household).

The total capital needed to implement the Project is 423,450 million VND, of which: Central budget capital: 282,300 million VND; local budget capital: 42,345 million VND; other mobilized capital: 98,805 million VND.
