According to the Provincial People's Committee, Quang Nam province has cooperated with a number of foreign localities that grow ginseng such as Korea and China and is developing a project to establish a center for processing ginseng and medicinal products.
It is expected that in the third quarter of 2025, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province will organize the event "The first international Ngoc Linh ginseng (Vietnamese ginseng) festival in 2025".
The festival aims to promote the achieved results, with the desire to continue promoting the image and value of Ngoc Linh ginseng (Vietnamese ginseng), creating opportunities for domestic and international exchange of experiences, knowledge, and technology on management, conservation, and promotion of the value of ginseng and medicinal herbs, including Ngoc Linh ginseng.
At the same time, strongly respond to the contents of the Vietnam Ginseng Development Program to 2030, with a vision to 2045 according to Decision No. 611 dated June 1, 2023 of the Prime Minister as well as continue to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and attracting investment in ginseng and medicinal herb growing areas in the province.
The Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism consider unifying the policy, supporting and creating conditions for Quang Nam to organize this festival so that it takes place in a rich and unique way, becoming an international-scale activity, with the participation and response of a number of countries that grow and process products from ginseng and medicinal herbs.
In recent years, Quang Nam province has successfully hosted a number of national and international cultural and tourism events such as: Quang Nam Heritage Festival, National Tourism Year - Quang Nam 2022, Hoi An - Japan Cultural Exchange, International Choir Competition attracting the participation and response of a large number of people, domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.
