Practically celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Vietnam Oil and Gas industry realizing Uncle Ho's wish (July 23, 1959 - July 23, 2024), the Oil and Gas industry sports festival was held in both the South and the North regions. In the North, the sports festival took place from August 24-25, 2024 at Cau Giay Stadium, Hanoi. Within the framework of the sports festival, 06 official competitions took place including: tug of war, table tennis, badminton, tennis, sack jumping, swimming and a friendly football tournament. The Oil and Gas industry sports festival in the North attracted the participation of nearly 1,000 athletes from 19 units under the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group .
Competing with other units, the sports delegation of Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) included nearly 60 athletes, participating in many events of the following sports: tug of war, table tennis, badminton, tennis and friendly football. The athletes competed with the spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, and dedication for the common success of the entire delegation and the sports festival. After a period of exciting competition, the PTSC sports delegation achieved many achievements in the sports. In the final result, the PTSC sports delegation ranked 3rd on the medal table with 06 gold medals, 03 silver medals, and 03 bronze medals.
In addition, PTSC participated in a friendly football tournament within the framework of the 2024 Northern Oil and Gas Industry Sports Festival. After 02 days of competition with 04 matches, the PTSC football team excelled and won the gold medal. The 2024 Northern Oil and Gas Industry Sports Festival was a great success, bringing many emotions to athletes and fans from all units. Above all, the sports festival spread the good cultural values of Petrovietnam with the spirit of "One team, one goal", creating conditions for exchange, learning, gaining experience, improving spiritual life, and motivating all Oil and Gas employees to successfully carry out assigned targets and tasks.
