On the morning of February 7, 2025, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 at Yen Trung Lake area, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province.
At the launching ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and delegates participated in planting 1,100 Caribbean pine trees on an area of 1.0 ha in Yen Trung Lake area, Cua Ngan area, Phuong Dong ward, Uong Bi city.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: Planting trees in early spring not only commemorates the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, who initiated the Tet tree planting movement in 1959, but also demonstrates the responsibility of each citizen in protecting the environment, responding to climate change and building a green, sustainably developed Vietnam.

Quang Ninh is a locality with stable and increasing forest area every year, forest quality is gradually improved towards sustainability, forest cover rate remains stable at 55%.
However, in September 2024, storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) damaged 128,873 hectares of forest in the whole province, the forest cover rate decreased to an estimated 42%, with total estimated damage of over 5,000 billion VND...
To gradually restore forests after storms, by 2025, Quang Ninh aims to replant nearly 32,000 hectares of forest, including 2,724 hectares of protective forests and 29,123 hectares of production forests. Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "This is an unprecedentedly large number, 2.4 times higher than the 2024 forest planting target, demonstrating the province's high determination in developing and restoring forestry production after storms."

The launching of the Spring Tree Planting Festival is not only an annual activity but also affirms the determination of the Government and localities in greening the ecological landscape, contributing to protecting water resources, improving air quality and raising public awareness of forest protection, towards a green - clean - beautiful living environment for future generations. After the event, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the delegation continued their working program in Van Don district, inspecting the recovery of marine aquaculture production after Typhoon Yagi.

Previously, on February 3 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), Quang Ninh province also launched the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 at plot 10, Sub-area 242, Dong Dinh village community forest area, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district. At this event, delegates planted 1,000 giổi trees and 100 chay trees at plot 10, Sub-area 242, Dong Dinh village community forest area, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district.
