Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to pay official visits to Cuba and Venezuela from April 14 to April 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced at a regular press conference today (April 11).
“The official friendly visit to Cuba and Venezuela by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang is of great significance, which is to promote and further deepen the friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with the Party, Government and People of the brotherly Cuba as well as the traditional friendship and good cooperation of the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba and Venezuela in all fields in the coming time,” Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Doan Khac Viet informed.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang’s visit takes place in the context of the traditional solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba being consolidated, promoted and developed in all fields. At the same time, the two sides continue to maintain cooperation and mutual support at international organizations and multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations.
For Venezuela, 2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In recent years, the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela has continued to be strengthened on the pillars of Party, State and people-to-people diplomacy, as well as parliamentary diplomacy and relations between localities. In recent years, the two sides have also maintained exchanges at international organizations and multilateral forums.
