Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan visited the family of the traffic accident victim in Yen Dung

Responding to the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, on the morning of November 25, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan, along with leaders of the Department of Transport, Provincial Police, Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and leaders of Yen Dung District People's Committee visited and encouraged families of traffic accident victims in difficult circumstances in Yen Dung District.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan presented gifts to the family of Ms. Do Thi Thuy whose son died in a traffic accident.

Visiting the families of Ms. Nguyen Thi La whose son was in a traffic accident, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen (born in 1983) in Dung village, Huong Gian commune, had a traffic accident on November 9, 2023 in Tan Tien commune (Bac Giang city), resulting in 72% physical injury, loss of ability to work and personal activities, dependent on relatives, family circumstances are extremely difficult.

Next, the delegation visited and encouraged the family of Ms. Do Thi Thuy and the family of Mr. Do Van Hung, both residing in Lieu De village, Tan Lieu commune. Both families had sons who died in a traffic accident that occurred in February 2024 in Tien Phong commune (Yen Dung district). These are all families in difficult circumstances, unfortunately having relatives in traffic accidents.

At the places visited, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan kindly visited, encouraged, and shared the difficulties and losses with the families of the victims, some of whom were seriously injured or died due to traffic accidents, and expressed his wish that the families would quickly overcome the pain and soon stabilize their lives.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that all levels, sectors and localities continue to pay attention and provide material and spiritual support to the families. At the same time, step up propaganda for all classes of people to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on ensuring traffic safety and order.

On this occasion, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan presented gifts and supported each victim's family with 2 million VND.

Responding to the "World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims" in 2024, the People's Committee of Yen Dung district provided financial support and gifts to families of victims who died or were seriously injured due to traffic accidents in difficult circumstances in the district with gifts worth 2 million VND for the families.

According to the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, in the first 10 months of 2024, there were 269 traffic accidents in the province, killing 163 people and injuring 142 people. Compared to the same period in 2023, traffic accidents decreased by 37 cases, 12 deaths, and 37 injuries. The main causes of traffic accidents are drivers driving in the wrong lane; not controlling their speed; violating traffic safety when changing direction; not keeping a safe distance; overtaking without ensuring safety... This year, the Memorial Service for victims of traffic accidents will be held from 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 17 on roads across the province.
