At the ceremony, Dr. Bui Xuan Minh, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health, said that in the past, Khanh Hoa province did not have an Oncology Hospital.
The Oncology Department of the Provincial General Hospital, with 60 beds, was built and put into operation in 2000 with the function of examining and treating oncology for people in the province and is always overloaded. The annual bed occupancy rate is from 132 to 155%.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Oncology Hospital Project (Nguyen Khuyen Street, Group 14 Tay Nam, Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City) has a total investment of 560 billion VND, using provincial budget capital. The project is built on a land area of 28,938 m2 , with a scale of 200 beds and the actual capacity of 300 beds.
The hospital is built with full functional departments, with a total construction floor area of 18,283 m2 , green garden area of 8,617 m2 , and full technical systems such as medical gas system, air conditioning, communication, electricity, water supply and drainage and wastewater treatment.

The project is also fully equipped with medical equipment such as radiotherapy system, 128-slice CT-Scanner... to ensure medical examination and treatment according to professional tasks. In addition, the hospital also has ancillary works.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Oncology Hospital is a provincial-level, grade II specialized hospital. The hospital was put into operation to examine and treat outpatients for people in the province from February 1, 2023. After more than 1 month of preparing the necessary conditions, the hospital has deployed inpatient examination and treatment from March 27, 2023.

After the inauguration ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited the hospital and presented gifts to patients being treated there.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Vice President sent his best regards to the health of the patients; and shared the joy with the patients when they were treated in a spacious and well-equipped environment.
The Vice President hopes that patients will actively cooperate with hospital doctors and nurses to recover their health soon and be discharged from the hospital soon.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and presented gifts to families with revolutionary contributions and children in special and difficult circumstances in Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province.
After listening to the report of the leaders of Dien Khanh District People's Committee on the local socio-economic development situation and the work of caring for the lives of families with revolutionary contributions and children in difficult circumstances, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed gratitude to the families with meritorious contributions.
At the same time, he highly appreciated Dien Khanh district as well as Khanh Hoa province for devoting appropriate resources to caring for policy families in addition to economic development.

Currently, Khanh Hoa province is implementing Resolutions and planning to become a centrally-governed city by 2030. In the development process, in addition to paying attention to economic development of dynamic regions, it is recommended that Khanh Hoa province have solutions for comprehensive and sustainable development.
In particular, attention should be paid to environmental protection, people's health care, and social security. The province needs to pay special attention to families with preferential policies, children in difficult circumstances, and continue to pay attention to mountainous ethnic minority areas, which were former revolutionary bases.
The Vice President hopes that the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa will build solid steps, combine internal and external resources to well implement the programs and resolutions on local economic development that have been set.
Particularly in Dien Khanh district, the Vice President hopes that the people will continue to maintain solidarity and contribute to building their homeland to become increasingly rich and prosperous.
