Striving to complete and surpass the targets for 2023.

Việt NamViệt Nam17/10/2023

At the meeting, various sectors and localities reported on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, Party building work, mass mobilization work, and public opinion, as well as emerging issues among the people in the third quarter and the first nine months of 2023. Over the past nine months, tourism in Binh Thuan has seen significant improvements, with the province welcoming over 6.98 million visitors (a 75.8% increase). The province organized numerous cultural, artistic, sports, and environmental sanitation activities in response to the National Tourism Year “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence” and the 2023 theme “Urban beautification, preserving and protecting a green, clean, and beautiful environment”.

Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - delivered a directive speech at the briefing meeting.

Forest management and protection, as well as the protection of aquatic resources, have been carried out more effectively. Social security and welfare policies for the people have been fully and promptly implemented. Political security is stable, and social order and safety in the province are maintained. The fight against corruption and negative practices has been consistently prioritized and directed, with timely handling of violations. Various sectors and localities have effectively monitored the situation and promptly addressed emerging issues of public concern.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh acknowledged the efforts and achievements of the sectors and localities in fulfilling their tasks. He also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need attention, noting that budget revenue in the first nine months of 2023 decreased in most localities compared to the same period last year (except for Bac Binh district). Compensation and land acquisition for the implementation of some projects are still slow; the disbursement of public investment capital in some districts remains low. The infrastructure of some medical facilities is deteriorating; shortages of medicines, biological products, and medical supplies are affecting the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people.

Looking ahead, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that all sectors and localities review the assigned goals, targets, and tasks, and based on that, resolutely strive to complete and exceed the targets set for 2023. During this process, proactive measures should be implemented to prevent and combat erosion in vulnerable areas along rivers and coastlines during the rainy and stormy season, protecting the safety of lives and property of the State and the people. Continue to vigorously implement measures to prevent and combat illegal fishing in foreign waters. Create favorable conditions to promote production and business development while focusing on handling and recovering outstanding tax debts, increasing budget revenue, and striving to keep outstanding tax debts below 5% by December 31, 2023. Accelerate the construction progress of projects in the province, striving to disburse 100% of public investment capital and capital from national target programs.

Strengthen administrative procedure reforms, promptly handle administrative documents and procedures for businesses and citizens; avoid delays in processing applications. Improve intelligence gathering; intensify the fight against all types of crime, especially drug trafficking, theft, illegal lending, gang-related activities, and protection rackets. Promote the implementation of the 2023 thematic program on studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, linked with the renewal of content and form in organizing the political activity "Keeping the Party Member's Oath"...
