Strive to complete and exceed 2023 targets

At the meeting, sectors and localities reported on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, Party building, mass mobilization work and public opinion, and emerging issues among the people in the third quarter and the first 9 months of 2023. In the past 9 months, tourism activities in Binh Thuan have improved a lot, the whole province welcomed more than 6.98 million visitors (an increase of 75.8%). The province has organized many cultural - artistic, physical training - sports and environmental sanitation activities in response to the National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" and the 2023 theme "Urban beautification, preserving and protecting the green, clean and beautiful environment".

Forest management and protection, and aquatic resources protection have been better implemented. Social security and welfare policies for the people have been fully and promptly implemented. Political security has been stable, and social order and safety in the province have been maintained. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been regularly directed and violations have been promptly handled. Sectors and localities have effectively implemented the work of grasping the situation and promptly resolving emerging issues of public concern.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh acknowledged the efforts and achievements of sectors and localities in performing their tasks. He also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that are worth noting when the budget collection in the first 9 months of 2023 in most localities decreased compared to the same period (except Bac Binh district). Compensation and land acquisition for the implementation of a number of works and projects are still slow; the disbursement of public investment capital in some districts is still low. The facilities of some medical facilities are degraded; the lack of drugs, biological products, and medical supplies affects the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people.

In the future, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested sectors and localities to review assigned goals, targets and tasks, on that basis, determined to make efforts to exceed the targets set for 2023. In that process, it is necessary to proactively deploy measures to prevent and combat erosion in vulnerable areas along rivers and coasts during the rainy and stormy season, protecting the safety of life and property of the State and people. Continue to resolutely implement measures to prevent and combat illegal fishing in foreign waters. Create favorable conditions to promote production and business development associated with focusing on handling and recovering tax arrears, increasing budget revenue, striving for tax arrears by December 31, 2023 to be below 5%. Speed up the construction progress of works and projects in the area, strive to disburse 100% of public investment capital, capital sources from national target programs,

Strengthen administrative procedure reform, promptly handle administrative records and procedures for businesses and people; do not let records be late. Do a good job of grasping the situation; step up the fight against and prevention of all types of crimes, especially drug crimes, theft, "black credit", gang activities, and protection.
