In 2023, the whole country saved 83,000 billion VND

The procurement, management and use of public assets have been managed and operated more effectively. In the organizational structure, ministries and branches have reduced 17 general departments and equivalents; reduced 10 departments and 144 departments/divisions under general departments and ministries; reduced 108 divisions in departments/divisions under ministries and branches; reduced 22 public service units. Localities have reduced 13 departments and other administrative organizations under provincial People's Committees; nearly 2,600 divisions and organizations under specialized agencies of provincial and district People's Committees.

By the end of 2023, nearly 8,000 public service units had been reduced to 46,000 public service units; over 7,100 people had been streamlined.

In addition, inspection work has been promoted, contributing to practicing thrift and combating waste. In 2023, the Inspection sector carried out nearly 8,000 administrative inspections and 194,000 specialized inspections and checks, detecting economic violations of more than VND 257 trillion and 616 hectares of land; recommending the recovery of more than VND 188 trillion and 166 hectares of land.

With the synchronous implementation of many solutions, in 2023, the whole country saved VND 83,000 billion in state budget and capital. This figure in 2022 was nearly VND 54,000 billion.
