Social criticism of the draft Decision of the Provincial People's Committee regulating some levels of support and resettlement when the State recovers land

Pursuant to the articles and provisions of the 2024 Land Law, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision regulating a number of levels of support and resettlement when the State recovers land for national defense and security purposes; socio -economic development for national and public interests in Tuyen Quang province, in order to ensure consistency and unity between the law on land and other relevant legal provisions; ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of land users.

The draft decision has 5 articles, stipulating the contents of the level of support for training, career conversion and job search in cases where the State recovers land in Clause 1, Article 109 of the Land Law; support for allocating residential land with land use fees or selling, leasing, or leasing-purchasing houses to households in need as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 111 of the Land Law; one-time housing rental support during the resettlement period for people whose residential land is recovered to implement urban construction investment projects as prescribed in Clause 7, Article 111 of the Land Law; relocation bonus; minimum resettlement support as prescribed in Clause 8, Article 111 of the Land Law.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and criticizing a number of contents related to policies, support levels, resettlement suitable for the subjects and implementation; reward mechanism for people whose land is recovered and hand over the site before the deadline; rights of people whose land is recovered...

After listening to the opposing opinions, the leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment explained and clarified the contents that the delegates were interested in; at the same time, they accepted the opposing opinions to advise on completing the document in the coming time.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hung Vuong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, highly appreciated the delegates' discussions and comments. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will receive and synthesize all comments and send them to the drafting agency.

He also requested the drafting agency to study and absorb comments to complete the draft according to regulations; requested the Department to continue to pay attention and advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents that are consistent and in accordance with current regulations.
