According to the resolution of the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hieu Giang, Vice Principal in charge, was assigned the position of Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education starting from today (November 1) until October 31, 2024.

The above resolution was passed at the meeting of the School Council held on October 14 under the direction and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Party Committee of the University and College Block of Ho Chi Minh City. The resolution was passed in full compliance with the procedures on leadership staff work according to relevant regulations and rules with a 100% approval rate.

In November 2022, the University Council agreed to assign Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hieu Giang to hold the position of Vice Principal in charge of the school from November 1 until a new principal is appointed, but no later than October 31, 2023. Previously, Mr. Giang was assigned to be in charge from June 24 to October 31 to resolve urgent issues, including the task of signing graduation certificates for students, trainees and postgraduates who are eligible to graduate.

Thus, up to the time Mr. Giang was assigned the position of Principal, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education had not had a principal for more than 3 years since the principal of this university retired on May 1, 2021.

Currently, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education consists of 2 people: Acting Principal Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang and Vice Principal Truong Thi Hien.
