Implementing the overall project of migration and resettlement of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Project, more than 4,000 households have moved to new places. By March 2024, the province had allocated residential land to 3,917 households, reaching an average of 300.3m2 /household; allocated two-crop rice fields to over 15,200 people, reaching an average of 541.1m2 /person; allocated production forest land to nearly 3,000 households, reaching an average of 0.81 ha/household; supported vocational conversion training for nearly 2,000 workers; completed, handed over and put into use 602 infrastructure works...
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and finding solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing support in accordance with the project's objectives.
Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen The Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that with the mechanisms and policies of the Party, the State and the attention of the province, the lives of people resettled in Tuyen Quang hydropower plant have gradually improved.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant agencies and People's Committees of districts and cities to resolutely implement solutions to completely resolve difficulties; focus on accelerating the progress of investment in stabilizing life, completing the support for additional residential land, production land, granting land use rights to resettled households in accordance with State regulations. On that basis, pay attention to social security work in resettlement areas and points of Tuyen Quang hydropower project...
