Today (November 28), a driver drove a 29-seat car carrying a group of foreign tourists on Highway 27, from Da Lat to Nha Trang. When passing through Son Thai commune, Khanh Vinh district (Khanh Hoa province), the car suddenly hit a sign, then crashed into a cliff on Khanh Le pass. The accident damaged the front of the car, many people in the car panicked and called for help.

According to information, at the time of the accident, there was dense fog on Khanh Le Pass, obscuring visibility. The car was moving at a slow speed, and it is believed that the brakes had failed, so the driver swerved into the cliff to avoid falling into the abyss.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Huu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thai Commune, informed that the incident did not cause any human casualties, but some passengers were injured. Authorities were present at the scene and took the injured to the emergency room.

It is known that the passenger bus was carrying 21 people, including 1 tour guide and 1 driver, the rest were Chinese tourists. Among the injured patients, 2 had multiple injuries; the others had minor scratches. Khanh Hoa General Hospital mobilized doctors to provide medical care to the injured tourists.

Khanh Le Pass is 1,700 m high and 33 km long, located on Highway 27, connecting Nha Trang with Da Lat City. This pass has many sharp turns, high cliffs, and deep ravines up to 300 m in some places, and has been the site of many accidents.
