Born in 1978, Vu Kim Thuy had to face many difficulties since birth when her eyes could only see large objects and contrasting colors. Her eyesight gradually decreased over the years, and her childhood was filled with days of loneliness, self-consciousness, and withdrawal due to teasing from her friends.
But fortunately, thanks to the boundless love of her family and her relentless efforts, Thuy has gradually overcome all barriers. Thuy's parents have tried their best to help their daughter integrate. The long journeys of treatment, the anxious nights and the tears are the motivation for Thuy to rise up.

Life changed when Ms. Thuy started to know and love the sport of running. Her running journey began with solitary steps. Despite her "lack" of vision and many difficulties on the running track, Ms. Thuy never gave up and turned her passion for sports into a source of life and a strong motivation. "Nothing is impossible" has become the motto that accompanies Vu Kim Thuy on every journey, breaking down limits and prejudices.
The first races were a testament to Thuy 's will and relentless efforts. To achieve her goals, she had to train relentlessly, despite all the difficulties from harsh weather to physical injuries. Every step Vu Kim Thuy took was soaked in sweat and tears.
She has encountered many accidents on the track, from painful falls to long-term injuries. However, it is these difficulties that have forged her an iron will. The moments of standing on the podium of glory, receiving cheers from the audience are the greatest consolation, the motivation for her to continue her journey. Besides, the support of the runner community, her dear teammates are also indispensable factors. For Ms. Thuy , every person who appears in her life is a precious gift.
The Love Station program with the theme "Unlimited" also featured Mr. Vu Tien Manh - the first blind Vietnamese to conquer the marathon, who is also a close friend of Kim Thuy . Tien Manh shared many stories about Ms. Thuy's journey of constant efforts.
For Mr. Manh, Ms. Thuy is not only a teammate but also a great source of encouragement, when they both overcame the most difficult roads, the times they practiced together, the life stories that connected them to become close friends in life.
Looking back on 10 years of marathoning, Vu Kim Thuy not only feels stronger but also more mature in her thinking. She is actively participating in activities to support the disabled athlete community, contributing to spreading the "limitless" spirit to more people. Although the journey ahead is full of challenges, she still dreams. "I want one day, not only me but all other disabled people can confidently stand on their own podium of glory," she shared.
