On November 13, the new Slovak government adopted a declaration on its action program and will present it to the National Council (Parliament) the following day.

The Cabinet of new Prime Minister Robert Fico stressed that the Government's action program aims to respond to issues affecting the political, economic, financial, social and legal situation, as well as Slovakia's position in the world.
The new government wants to build a state with a strong judiciary, based on a well-functioning market economy and regulated to the necessary extent.
From here, new Prime Minister Fico and his Cabinet want to turn Slovakia into a modern and effectively operating state, focusing on ensuring social security, the business environment, improving the quality of education and health care, and strengthening public trust in justice and the rule of law.
The new government pledges to end the abuse of security forces for political purposes and heal social polarization, strengthen sovereignty, state institutions and patriotism, and respect Slovak national traditions and culture.
According to the Slovak Constitution, within 30 days of being appointed, the new government will present its action program to the Parliament and ask the body to vote on its approval.
