Many unique cultural activities at Da Lat Flower Festival 2024

(CLO) On the morning of November 5, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) coordinated with the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to organize a press conference to inform about the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 and promote and attract investment in the fields of tourism and services.

The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 is held to promote the image of culture, people, and tourism of Da Lat (Lam Dong province) to domestic and international tourists. This is a provincial-level cultural and tourism event aiming at national and international scale taking place throughout 2024, with a peak in December 2024.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, said that with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors", the 2024 Flower Festival continues to affirm Da Lat as the Flower Festival city of Vietnam, a creative city in the field of music by UNESCO and a city in the "group of 5 impressive Festival cities of Asia". This is not only a festival for the people of Lam Dong province but also a meeting place for domestic and international tourists to experience the unique cultural and tourism values ​​of Da Lat.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 has 10 main programs, including: Opening program; art program welcoming the new year 2025 combined with the closing ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; flower space; International workshop "Da Lat develops green tourism and cultural industry from diverse natural resources and local culture"; art program: Bao Loc, Huong Tra - Sac To city; exhibition, introduction and trade promotion of OCOP products of Da Lat Flower Festival 2024...

"This year, the flower space is expanded to parks, landscapes, streets, residential areas, tourist attractions in Da Lat city and surrounding areas with the active participation and support of businesses, organizations and households. In addition to the main programs, the festival also has 12 response programs and many other new and attractive programs implemented by organizations, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province" - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province emphasized.

The opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television at 8:00 p.m. on December 5 from Lam Vien Square, Da Lat city.

Within the framework of the festival, there are also response programs of units and localities such as: "Dalat Fun Color" music festival; "Bao Lam - Legend and Convergence" festival; Festival of performances and exhibitions of cultural characteristics of ethnic groups in Lam Dong province; Lam Dong Trail 2024 race; Lang Biang pink grass festival; "Di Linh - Identity and Integration" program; 19th "Green - Clean - Beautiful" contest; "5AM Concert in Da Lat" music program; 2nd Prenn challenge race; "Dalat Flower Brilliant Colors" exhibition; "Bazan Melody" band festival; "Dalat - Colorful Flowers" tour and experience... The organizers expect to welcome 2 million visitors to Lam Dong on this occasion.
