According to Ambassador Jaya Ratnam, Vietnam's position globally is reflected in the positions and roles it has, is, and will assume at regional and world forums, especially at the United Nations.
“All of these demonstrate the trust and respect that countries have for Vietnam. And I strongly believe that Vietnam will continue to successfully assume more leadership positions, demonstrating its leading role in the region and around the world,” Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam emphasized.
Vietnam's Attraction
Appreciating Vietnam's ever-increasing role in the international arena, Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam Shawn Steil said that part of the contribution to this is Vietnam's economic growth. Vietnam is leading the region, and possibly the world, in economic growth. The world is increasingly looking to Vietnam as a manufacturing center.

Ambassador Shawn Steil believes that soon, Vietnam will not only be a place of production but also a place of recognition for creativity and innovation.
We will not only buy products made in Vietnam but also products invented in Vietnam.
Vietnam's future is bright, and Canada sees Vietnam increasingly demonstrating leadership in the region and globally.
And with a partner like Canada, there is no limit to what Vietnam can do, the Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam emphasized.

Appreciating the commitments and actions of the Vietnamese Government in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Ms. Ramla Khalidi - Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Vietnam said: Vietnam has made commitments to move towards sustainable development goals.
“That is very welcome. I think all countries in the world are struggling to achieve the sustainable development goals. Factors like the COVID pandemic, the conflict in Ukraine and a number of other crises all add to the challenge of achieving the sustainable development goals.

However, I think Vietnam has made impressive progress on many goals. Vietnam ranks 51st out of 165 countries on the UN Sustainable Development Goals index. You have made significant progress on 5 out of 17 goals including education and poverty reduction, clean water, etc.,” Ms. Ramla Khalidi shared.
According to the UNDP Resident Representative, Vietnam is a model for poverty reduction, especially in a particularly short period of time. “I think many countries will look to Vietnam to learn those lessons.
Congratulations and I sincerely hope that UNDP will continue to cooperate with the Government of Vietnam in addressing the remaining challenges of the sustainable development goals and new challenges in the 21st century,” said Ms. Ramla Khalidi.Source
