Former Director of State Bank appointed Deputy State Auditor General

On the afternoon of June 15, at the State Audit Office headquarters, a conference was held to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the appointment of Mr. Bui Quoc Dung as Deputy State Auditor General from June 12, 2023, with a term of appointment of 05 years.

Mr. Bui Quoc Dung, 44 years old, has a Master's degree in Economics from the US. He has held many positions, including Director of the Monetary Statistics Forecast Department; Director of the Monetary Policy Department of the State Bank of Vietnam; Assistant to the Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Economic Commission, 12th tenure; Director of the General Department of the Party Central Committee Office.

During Mr. Dung's tenure as Director of the Monetary Policy Department - State Bank of Vietnam, many breakthrough policies were issued, creating a foundation for exchange rate stabilization, such as: 0% interest rate policy for foreign currency deposits; central exchange rate mechanism; foreign currency forward trading mechanism between the State Bank and commercial banks...

Finance - Banking - Former Director of State Bank appointed Deputy State Auditor General — Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai presented the appointment resolution to Mr. Bui Quoc Dung.

According to the State Auditor General, Mr. Bui Quoc Dung is a capable and well-trained official who has held many positions and agencies, from Government agencies, Party agencies, and now the State Audit, an agency under the National Assembly.

As an assistant to the Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the 12th Central Economic Commission, Mr. Bui Quoc Dung advised and assisted the Head and leader of the Central Economic Commission in the fields of general economics, macroeconomics, and foreign economics.

While working at the Party Central Office, Mr. Bui Quoc Dung was assigned to directly participate in appraising projects submitted to the Politburo on the field of general economics; in charge of synthesizing and building reports for key leadership meetings, quarterly and annual reports to the Politburo on the country's situation.

Currently, the State Audit has 4 Deputy State Auditors General, including: Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Mr. Dang The Vinh, Ms. Ha Thi My Dung and Mr. Bui Quoc Dung .
