On December 13, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized the acceptance of value chain production models and IoT digital transformation system support models at Van Quyen clean agricultural products cooperative, Huan Hoa bird's nest cooperative (Yen Mo district) and RiTi cooperative (Nho Quan).
Van Quyen Agricultural Cooperative (Yen Phong Commune, Yen Mo) specializes in producing yellow and green melons in greenhouses and membrane houses to ensure food hygiene and safety. The cooperative's products have been recognized as 3-star OCOP products.
Currently, the Cooperative is expanding the area for growing Korean milk grapes, expected to be harvested in June 2024. Recently, the Cooperative has invested in installing a 40 m2 cold storage house, a 30 m3 cold storage system and installing an IoT sensor system in the greenhouse with a total budget supported by the Provincial Cooperative Union of more than 320 million VND from the collective economic development fund allocated by the Provincial People's Committee.
Huan Hoa Bird's Nest Cooperative was established in February 2023. The Cooperative supplies the market with dried bird's nest products and jar-shaped distilled bird's nest products. In order to gradually improve the quality, design and closed production process, the Cooperative has invested in installing a bird's nest drying line system including: Electric bird's nest extractor, 2-person antibacterial bird's nest feather picking table, nest filling table, automatic shrink film hot air blower with conveyor belt, Milotech - MSL food dryer and bird's nest cooking line including the following types of machines: Bird's nest jar date printer, semi-automatic labeling machine without date printing, semi-automatic jar capping machine, 100L sterilizing autoclave, 100L stirring heating pot with a total cost of 520 million VND, of which the Provincial Cooperative Union supports 260 million VND, the rest is the Cooperative's funding source. Through the installation of a system of lines and machinery, the Cooperative helps improve productivity and product quality. The cooperative's products have been recognized as 3-star OCOP products.
For RiTi Cooperative, the main product is organic chrysanthemum tea, which is planned to be cultivated to meet organic standards. In order for the chrysanthemum cultivation process to be certified organic, the Cooperative has built a 300 m2 worm compost production workshop to proactively control the quality and quantity of fertilizer, meeting the needs of the cultivation area.
With the support of the Provincial Cooperative Union, the Cooperative has deployed a temperature and humidity control system combined with an IoT system for the worm compost production workshop to grow organic chrysanthemums. The total funding supported by the Provincial Cooperative Union is 85 million VND.
Through the implementation of supporting the value chain production model, it is easy to trace the origin of products from the production, preliminary processing and processing stages, thereby creating trust for consumers, helping consumers have the opportunity to access safe products; at the same time, helping to increase income value per unit of cultivated area; increasing the application of advanced machinery, science and technology in production and processing, contributing to improving productivity, product quality, product diversity, meeting market demand.
