According to the assessment of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, 2023 saw many major political events in the country and the locality, and was also a year with many difficulties for the Vietnamese economy in general and the province in particular, which significantly affected the socio-economic development, health and life of the people. However, with the efforts of cadres and civil servants of the Provincial Propaganda Department, they closely followed the requirements, focused on the right key points, strongly promoted the responsibility of the entire sector to perform well the assigned tasks and achieved some outstanding results. Notably, the work of organizing the study and dissemination of the Party's directives and resolutions continued to improve in quality; the number of cadres, party members and people participating in the study and dissemination increased; action programs and plans to implement resolutions were developed by Party committees at all levels to ensure the requirements of direction. Information and propaganda work to cadres, party members and people on the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State; National and provincial holidays, anniversaries and major political events are fully and promptly reported.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department awarded prizes for the Quiz Contest "Learning about places, historical figures and directives and resolutions of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee in 2023".

In addition, the provincial Propaganda Department has effectively carried out the work of grasping, investigating and handling public opinion; the information network from the province to the grassroots operates in a disciplined manner; the team of reporters and public opinion makers is regularly strengthened and trained. Along with that, the work of fighting against wrong views, bad and toxic information on cyberspace has initially brought about results; the application of information technology in the field of propaganda has received attention...

According to the leader of the Propaganda Department, the decisive factor for these results is the timely leadership and direction of the Central Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Party committees at all levels. Along with that is the close coordination and combination between the province's propaganda sector and departments and branches at the provincial, district, town and city levels; closely following the practical situation, proposing appropriate implementation methods... Those results have contributed to creating positive changes in political awareness, ideology, ethics, and lifestyle among cadres, party members and people. At the same time, creating solidarity and unity, raising vigilance, preventing plots and tricks of hostile forces; encouraging cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to compete to effectively carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, maintaining security, politics and social order and safety in the locality.

Innovation in the way of working

In the context of unpredictable developments in the world and in the country affecting social ideology and mood, propaganda work must continue to strongly innovate its content and methods of operation to successfully complete its tasks in 2024. Comrade Vo Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department shared that one of the key tasks that the Propaganda sector needs to carry out in 2024 is to focus on propagating the socio-economic development situation, ensuring national defense and security, celebrating major holidays, and important political events of the country and locality under the direction of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee; advising and directing propaganda orientations on the socio-economic development situation, Party building work, building the political system, and performing national defense and security tasks.

Along with that, advise and guide the organization, study, dissemination and implementation of directives, resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee (term XIII); Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. Continue to advise the Party Committee to direct the effective implementation of Conclusion 01 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive 05 of the Politburo on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; the 2024 theme is associated with the implementation of the Party's policies on Party building work, especially implementing education, setting examples, creating depth, spreading the study and following of Uncle Ho among a large number of cadres, party members and people.

At the same time, proactively grasp the situation of political ideology and public opinion of cadres, party members and people to promptly advise the Party Committee to direct and resolve. Advise on organizing activities of the Steering Committee to protect the Party's foundation and ideology, fight and refute wrong and hostile views and foreign information work of the province (Steering Committee 35 - 16 provinces) and Steering Committee 35 localities. Advise on propaganda of foreign information work, propaganda of sea and islands, demarcation and marker planting, continue to actively propagate and promote the potential and advantages of the province to contribute to promoting local tourism...
