Education sector responds to Vietnam Law Day 2024

NDO - In response to the "Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" in 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training and schools have had many practical and meaningful activities to propagate and disseminate core values ​​of law in the educational environment, contributing to building a civilized, disciplined and developed society.

The Ministryof Education and Training said it has issued Plan No. 1604/KH-BGDDT on responding to the "Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" in 2024 to promote positivity and self-awareness in studying and understanding the law, contributing to raising awareness and sense of law compliance, educating lifestyles, working according to the Constitution and laws, improving the effectiveness of building, enforcing and protecting the law for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the organization of the Law Day response is based on the spirit of thrift, practicality, efficiency, correct content, diverse forms closely following the tasks in the fields of work of the Ministry of Education and Training; thereby enhancing the capacity to respond to policies in the process of organizing law enforcement, creating a favorable legal environment for educational organizations and activities; promoting policy communication to contribute to creating consensus, improving the effectiveness and efficiency in law enforcement.

The activities include: Organizing communication, training, and dialogue on policies that have a major impact on society in the draft legal documents being drafted in 2024 for relevant subjects in appropriate forms; Organizing professional activities on "Law Day", "Building and organizing law enforcement" in accordance with the state management field of the unit; focusing on integrating, linking with the dissemination, dissemination, and extensive communication of core contents expressing the spirit, viewpoints, and guiding opinions of the Party and State leaders on the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam, the work of building, perfecting institutions and law enforcement, etc.

In response to Vietnam Law Day, many schools in Hanoi have had practical and appropriate programs and activities, bringing legal knowledge in an easy-to-remember and easy-to-understand way to staff, teachers and students.

At Linh Dam Primary School (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi), the Department of Education and Training of Hoang Mai District held a ceremony to respond to "Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam 2024".

According to Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hoang Mai District, Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, legal education and propaganda in schools aims to raise awareness, while laying the foundation for a law-abiding lifestyle, forming personality and awareness for each student from the very beginning of life.

During the program, Hoang Mai District Police disseminated knowledge about fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue to students. They were also informed about the Capital Law 2024 to better understand their role and responsibility in preserving and developing the Capital.

The Department of Education and Training of Hoang Mai district said that during the peak period from October 15 to November 15, the Department directed schools to organize many meaningful activities to spread the spirit of "Vietnam Law Day", including the requirement to organize legal education activities in a diverse and creative manner through flag-raising activities, forums, seminars, exchanges, etc. In particular, schools can implement the "Mock Trial" model for secondary school students, creating conditions for them to be exposed to practical legal situations, thereby improving their understanding and skills in law;

At the same time, legal education contents can be integrated into subjects and extracurricular activities; promote propaganda through media and information technology; encourage the implementation of the model of "Socialization of propaganda and dissemination of legal education in schools" throughout the school year.

The responsibility of the school head is not only to manage and organize but also to create an educational environment where the law is respected, implemented, and imbued in all educational activities.

On this occasion, the Department of Justice, the Department of Education and Training, and the Thanh Oai District Youth Union signed a memorandum of understanding on coordination in implementing legal education activities in schools to: Strengthen legal education for students, raise legal awareness, help them understand and comply with legal regulations, form a civilized and responsible lifestyle; Create a safe and healthy learning environment, prevent violations of the law in schools; Promote the role of schools, Youth Union - Pioneer organizations and legal agencies in coordinating the development and implementation of legal education programs for students.
