The figures come from the World Bank and Sputnik statistics. The data shows that in 2014, Russia ranked 9th in the list of the world's largest economies, producing goods and services worth $2,050 billion. Meanwhile, in 2021, the country ranked 11th.
The data also shows that the US economy tops the list in 2022 with an estimated gross domestic product (GDP) of $25.5 trillion. China ranks second on the list ($17.9 trillion), followed by Japan ($4.2 trillion), Germany ($4.07 trillion) and India ($3.4 trillion).
The UK economy remains sixth ($3.07 trillion) on the list, and France is seventh ($2.8 trillion), according to the statistics.
The 2022 GDP rankings of countries are based on the latest annual or quarterly data provided by statistical agencies. The figures are in each country's currency and are recalculated in USD or at the average exchange rate over the corresponding period (where applicable). The WB data was used in the 2021 statistics.
