According to the head of the press center of the Western group, Colonel Sergei Zybinsky, Russian operational-tactical aviation carried out missile and bomb attacks on temporary bases of five brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kupyansky direction.
During the operation, Ka-52 and Mi-28 attack helicopters were used to attack concentrations of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the 14th and 32nd Mechanized Brigades as well as the 25th Airborne Brigade in the Ivanovka, Berestovoy and Stelmakhovka areas.
In the Kherson region, fighting is still fierce. According to SF, this is one of the bloodiest battlefields in the war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces still hold a position on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River.
Fighting is ongoing in the center of the village of Krynki. Ukrainian forces are still able to move reserves across the river, including some heavy vehicles, to continue fighting and expand their control. The main supply route runs through Frolov Island near Krynki. There are reportedly at least two small pontoon bridges across the Konka River. The route remains operational despite heavy Russian attacks and shelling.
On the night of November 20, several Ukrainian groups crossed the river and took up positions in the forest area near the settlement. Russian artillery fire and heavy airstrikes prevented the Ukrainian forces from advancing.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces remain present on the east bank near the Antonovsky bridge and the railway. Battles are taking place near the villages of Poima and west of Peschanovka.
Also on November 20, several Ukrainian groups attempted to regroup in the area but were destroyed by Russian fire.
A Ukrainian assault group moving by boat was also destroyed in the Dnieper near the village of Tyaginka. Several positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also destroyed in the area.
Earlier, on November 19, Russian forces stopped a Ukrainian landing operation on Bolshoy Potemkin Island in the Kherson region. The Russian attack left two boats and 11 Ukrainian soldiers disabled.
According to reports, Russian troops deployed in the Kherson region have caused some Ukrainian military positions to change.
