TPO - The Meteorological Agency forecasts that heat waves will continue to occur widely in the Eastern provinces and some places in the Southwestern provinces at the weekend with the highest temperature ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, yesterday (February 15), heat waves occurred widely in the Eastern region and some places in the Southwest region with temperatures increasing compared to February 14. The highest temperature ranged from 35-37 degrees Celsius, with Bien Hoa (Dong Nai) experiencing severe heat (38 degrees Celsius).

It is forecasted that today and tomorrow, heat waves will continue to occur widely in the Eastern provinces and some places in the Southwestern provinces. The highest temperature in the Eastern region is from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius; in the West, some places are 35-36 degrees Celsius. The hot time during the day is from 12:00 to 16:00.

Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, yesterday (February 15), there was widespread heat. The highest temperature at Tan Son Nhat station was 36 degrees Celsius, Nha Be was 35.1 degrees Celsius.

Today and tomorrow, widespread heat waves will occur in Ho Chi Minh City. The highest temperature will be from 35-36 degrees Celsius. It is forecasted that widespread heat waves in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region will likely last until February 18.

Also according to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, from January to March is the peak of the dry season in the South.

From March to May is the period of transition from dry season to rainy season in the area. Total rainfall during this period is generally approximately the average of many years (TBNN).

In March, rainfall will be lower than the average, with very little unseasonal rain in the first half of the month. In the second half of the month, there is a possibility of some unseasonal showers and thunderstorms due to local convection, but rainfall is mostly not large.
