Upgrading the road to Mui Ne National Tourist Area

Việt NamViệt Nam12/10/2023

Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street and Huynh Thuc Khang Street are considered important routes connecting Phan Thiet city center with Ham Tien - Mui Ne National Tourist Area, a route that has been associated with Mui Ne since the "early days of tourism" until now.

In 1995, when the total solar eclipse took place, Ham Tien - Mui Ne was put on the world tourism map. Through the development process, the number of tourists coming to Mui Ne increased, so the province added Vo Nguyen Giap Street (706B). Thanks to the addition of Vo Nguyen Giap Street, traffic volume was reduced. However, most people when returning to Phan Thiet choose Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street and Huynh Thuc Khang Street to see the sea. Especially on the road, there is the Fishing Village, which attracts millions of tourists to visit and experience... Therefore, the road always has a high volume of traffic.

Mr. Hoang Ton, who often guides tourists to the Fishing Village, said: In addition to walking to see the "resort capital", many tourists love to walk on this route to see the sea, to see the rows of green coconut trees leaning on the sand. There are times when thousands of people travel on the road to the Fishing Village or to Mui Ne beach to watch fishermen pull in their nets every early morning... According to Mr. Nguyen Truong, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City who often comes to Mui Ne at the end of the month to relax: This route used to be very beautiful because people planted coconut trees on both sides of the road, high up the coconut trees leaning on the road to create shade and create a strange and somewhat poetic scene... Mui Ne tourism is developing rapidly, so some sections of the road are lost by construction businesses, losing part of the natural beauty of this route. However, every time I come to Mui Ne, my friends and I still love to walk on this route to see the scenery on both sides of the road...

To better serve tourists and local people to travel more conveniently as well as contribute to the urban beautification of Phan Thiet. At the same time, aiming at a modern smart tourist city, the Provincial People's Council has issued a Resolution approving the adjustment of the investment policy for the project to repair and upgrade Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street and Huynh Thuc Khang Street from Hoang Ngoc Tourist Area to Lang Chai Intersection, Phan Thiet City.
