According to the image in the clip, this young man used the ceiling handrail and the iron bar along the ceiling of metro train No. 1 to do gymnastics and pull-ups. This happened when there were many passengers on the train, many of whom were sitting in the lower seats.
Many people were upset, saying that this action was uncivilized and affected other passengers.
According to Tuoi Tre Online 's investigation, the incident happened on January 24, on a metro train No. 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien.
A representative of the operator of metro line 1 said that the young man's actions were inappropriate and could cause damage to property and affect the safety and comfort of those around him.
Train compartments are public spaces, handrails are installed to help passengers keep their balance while the train is running, not for exercise or performance.
Hanging from handrails and poles on metro trains is an act that poses a safety risk to the person doing it and surrounding passengers. This act also causes damage to State property and may result in prosecution.
Urban Railway Company No. 1 (the operator) said that although there are always security guards on the trains and at the stations, during rush hour or when there are many passengers, some cases are not detected and handled immediately.
The unit calls on people to comply with regulations and contribute to building metro culture. "We want to convey the message of a modern, safe and civilized traffic space, where all passengers join hands to maintain order and public property" - the unit representative shared.
Create a civilized image when taking metro line 1
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Safety Committee, people taking the train must cooperate with the operating unit to have a safe and convenient trip. They must comply with the rules of conduct in public places and related regulations to create a civilized and modern image.
Do not use or touch any equipment on the train or in the station. If you have any questions or need assistance, please ask the staff for specific instructions. Note that children under 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult when traveling by train. Disabled people and the elderly will be assisted by staff or their companions to take them to the elevator or priority area in the train car.
Realizing that people's opinions are important for the metro to operate more effectively, the Traffic Safety Committee has coordinated with units to develop a survey questionnaire for people using the metro, and hopes that people will actively contribute opinions so that the authorities can receive information from many sides. Thereby, improving the operation and making it more effective.
