Electric MPV MG Maxus 9, selling price over 1.5 billion VND

The Maxus 9 made its full debut in China last November and was unveiled this week at the 2023 Bangkok International Motor Show. In Thailand, the car is called the MG Maxus 9, replacing the MG logo. It is one of the concept cars unveiled at the 2021 Shanghai show.

In the luxury pure electric MPV segment, MG Maxus 9 is the largest and most luxurious car and is designed to create highlights with a contrasting two-tone paint between the roof and the body. The car is also equipped with an all-LED lighting system and warning lights. The interior of the car is equipped with many high-quality materials. In particular, the car has a configuration of 6 high-class single seats and in the highest version there are 2 business seats, integrated with electric adjustment, heating, cooling and massage functions and a touch screen for control. The car's hardware is equipped with Qualcomm 8155 and Media Tek 8666 chips for extremely good processing speed in both the infotainment and driver support systems. Some notable equipment inside the car includes a 7-inch screen behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch central screen, wireless charging, electronic brakes, and a 220V power outlet. Maxus 9 is equipped with a single electric motor with a capacity of 245 horsepower and a maximum torque of up to 350Nm. The 90 kWh lithium-ion battery allows the vehicle to operate 520 km per full charge, the high-end version has a larger battery capacity and can run 650 km per charge. Currently, the selling price of the MG Maxus 9 electric MPV in the Thai market is about 2.3 million baht, equivalent to 1.5 billion VND, and this price is considered to be equal to the MPV model from Korea Kia Carnival. If it appears in Vietnam, this could be a new phenomenon in the MPV segment.
