During her official visit to the Republic of Mozambique, on the afternoon of September 12, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with President of the ruling FRELIMO party and President of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi.
Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi highly appreciated the visit of Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, expressing his belief that the Vice President's visit and high-level delegation exchanges between the two countries will continue to create new momentum, contributing to further promoting the multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Mozambique in the coming time.
Recalling his deep impressions of his visit to Vietnam more than 10 years ago as Mozambique's Minister of Defense, President Filipe Nyusi expressed his admiration for the past struggle for national liberation and highly appreciated Vietnam's achievements in the current national construction and development.
President Filipe Nyusi affirmed that Mozambique considers Vietnam its most important partner in Southeast Asia and is determined to promote cooperation with Vietnam on both Party and State channels, congratulating the results of the talks between Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Mozambican Prime Minister Adriano Maleiane.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her joy to visit the beautiful country of Mozambique, a loyal friend of Vietnam.
Affirming that the Party and State of Vietnam highly appreciate the position and role of the FRELIMO Party in Mozambique as well as Mozambique's role in Africa, the Vice President congratulated the achievements that the people of Mozambique, under the leadership of the FRELIMO Party, have made in maintaining political stability, national reconciliation and economic reconstruction.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the results of cooperation achieved over the past five decades, especially in the fields of politics - diplomacy, agriculture, telecommunications, education - training... and coordination at multilateral forums such as the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement.

To more effectively exploit the great potential for cooperation between the two countries, promote the spirit and content of the online talks in June 2022 between General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the President of Mozambique, as well as implement the results of this visit by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, the two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges and high-level contacts through Party and State channels, and people-to-people exchanges.
Regarding trade and investment cooperation, the President of Mozambique affirmed to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest and do business in fields such as telecommunications, mining, etc.
In response to the Mozambique President's proposal to prioritize agricultural and aquatic cooperation, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said that Vietnam is willing to share its experience in farming and processing agricultural and aquatic products, contributing to ensuring food security in Mozambique and the region.
Regarding education, training and healthcare, the President of Mozambique thanked Vietnam for helping to train students, and suggested that Vietnam consider opening a vocational training school in Mozambique and send healthcare experts to Mozambique.
The President of Mozambique positively acknowledged the Vice President's proposal to create conditions for Vietnamese citizens, especially telecommunications and education experts, to work in Mozambique.
The two leaders agreed to assign relevant ministries and branches of the two sides to exchange and have specific projects according to the cooperation orientations identified by the leaders of the two sides.
On this occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan respectfully conveyed President Vo Van Thuong's invitation to the President of Mozambique to soon return to visit Vietnam, and the President of Mozambique happily accepted.
