Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh said that the current level of school violence is very worrying.

On the morning of October 30, on the sidelines of the National Assembly session, Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh shared his opinion on school violence. The Chairman of the National Assembly's Culture and Education Committee commented that school violence has always occurred, but recently, some incidents have shown a worrying level of violence and behavior.

“Not only did they get physical, they also insulted each other’s dignity. Many students do not have a clear attitude and are not proactive in preventing violence. This is a very worrying issue.”

According to him, there are many reasons leading to this situation, partly due to the impact of unhealthy movies and social networks.

Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh said that to solve this problem, it is necessary to build a school culture. In addition to the time at home, receiving education from the family, most children receive education from school, so forming a school culture is an important solution.

However, the Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education also stated that this work needs to be done over the long term and cannot be seen "overnight" to see immediate results.

He said: “Each child’s family situation is different, so family education is very important. In modern society, family education is not enough, so the role of education in school is very important.”

Specifically, teachers must be truly exemplary, the relationship between teachers and teachers, between students must be based on the spirit of love. Mr. Vinh cited: "Even the relationship between students and security guards must be educated so that students greet each other politely when they meet. If small things like that are improved, everything will be better."

In addition, we need to build “resistance” for children, have orientation on how to approach information to help them recognize what is good and what is bad. From policy to action requires a lot of perseverance because changing people's awareness and behavior is something that needs to be done regularly, continuously, and long-term.

He also talked about the role of adults as role models, and the important role of family for children. Because adults have full awareness and children often learn and follow adults. When children are present, we must act as role models, restrain ourselves, and not let them be exposed to negative adult behavior.

There are also opinions that when children are young, they have high awareness but as they grow older, their self-awareness will gradually decrease. Mr. Vinh emphasized that, in addition to the educational factor, it is necessary to strictly manage society, promote the spirit of the rule of law, "build, fight" to help improve cognitive behavior.

Many families use the excuse of being busy with work and not having time for their children, Head of Department Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed, "it's not about being busy or not being busy" but about the awareness of each person, each time, each place, each place, not about teaching children at the right time.

“The military semester program is only 3 weeks long, but after participating, students have shown very good signs such as waking up and making their own blankets and expressing their love for their parents. Meanwhile, school is where students are educated for 12 years. The educational environment must be such that when they enter, they feel it is a good place and have a positive impact on them,” he commented.

Mr. Vinh also assessed that the content of the subject plays an important role in educating children. School culture is included in the content of each subject. If the subjects are designed with high educational and cultural values, it will have a very good influence on students.

The Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education believes that when students are placed in such an educational environment, they will become exemplary people.
