In 2024, Hoa Phat Group recorded a total budget revenue of VND 13,400 billion, the highest since Hoa Phat operated under the group model and listed on HOSE with stock code HPG.
Budget contributions in 26 provinces and cities
Hoa Phat's budget contribution in 2024 increased by 48% compared to the same period last year (more than 9,000 billion VND). In particular, the member companies with the highest budget contributions are mainly steel companies, refrigeration, construction, and urban development sectors.
As for Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company, the budget payment including: value added tax on imported goods, import-export tax, domestic tax... reached more than 9,600 billion VND and is the member company of Hoa Phat with the highest contribution.
Operating in 5 fields: iron and steel - steel products - agriculture - real estate - household appliances, owning a diverse product ecosystem, Hoa Phat is currently operating and contributing to the state budget in 26 provinces and cities.
From 2007, when Hoa Phat started listing on the stock market, to December 31, 2024, this group has paid nearly VND 88,000 billion to the state budget, ranking among the three largest private enterprises paying the budget in the country.
Thus, this group's budget contribution is equal to the total budget revenue of many localities combined.
In particular, Hoa Phat's budget contribution is nearly equal to the top 6 localities with the lowest budget revenue in 2024 including Dien Bien, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Dak Nong (nearly 13,800 billion VND).
What is the budget revenue of the provinces and cities?
Compared to the current budget revenue of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities, Hoa Phat's budget contribution is currently higher than that of many provinces and cities across the country. In particular, the localities with low revenue are mainly located in the Northern Midlands and Mountains, Central Highlands, North Central and Central Coast regions.
