A chairman secretly sold 2.6 million shares

On August 15, LDG Chairman Nguyen Khanh Hung sold about 2.6 million shares of this company without prior notice before the transaction.

This information was announced by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) at the end of August 16.

Through monitoring, HoSE discovered that in the trading session on August 15, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LDG Investment Joint Stock Company, sold more than 2.6 million LDG shares through an account at Rong Viet Securities Joint Stock Company (VDSC) without disclosing information as prescribed.

The transaction of LDG Chairman was conducted by order matching method, worth nearly 16.7 billion VND and accounting for more than 22.8% of the order matching volume of the code in the trading session on August 15. Before this transaction, Mr. Hung owned about 10 million LDG shares, accounting for 3.92% of the company's capital. When Mr. Hung prepared to trade, the system warned that this was a transaction of an internal shareholder, requiring information reporting.

HoSE announced that it would eliminate the sale of 2.6 million LDG shares by Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hung. At the end of the trading session on August 16, this code increased by 0.94% to VND6,420.

A representative of the State Securities Commission said that this was an isolated case involving Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hung, and did not affect the general operation of the stock market. The Commission will base on the monitoring report and HoSE's proposal to handle it in accordance with the law.

Established in 2010, LDG operates in the real estate sector with products such as land, townhouses, apartments, and urban areas in many southern localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai... The company also plans to expand its business in commercial real estate, services, and entertainment in the near future.

In 2022, LDG achieved a consolidated profit after tax of VND 4 billion, only 1.54% compared to 2021. In the first half of this year, due to the continued difficulties in the real estate market, the company only achieved revenue of about VND 1.7 billion and a loss of VND 150 billion.
