Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has approved the 2023 enrollment plan. Accordingly, the school will consider admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam, considering the B00 subject group (math-chemistry-biology) for all majors, with the admission method code: 100. Mandatory regulations on academic performance and conduct
General admission requirements for all majors: Grade 12 conduct rating from good or above. Good enough health to study according to current regulations. Complete personal information and application documents according to regulations.
In addition to the general conditions, the school stipulates additional specific conditions that candidates must meet to apply for admission to the medical, pharmaceutical, and dental majors: the average score of the first 5 semesters of high school must be 7.0 points or higher. Conditions for applying to the optometry major: High school graduation exam score in English must be 7.0 points or higher.
The school recruits students nationwide. The enrollment quota for each major is allocated 50% for candidates from Ho Chi Minh City to meet the city's medical human resource needs, the remaining 50% is for all other provinces and cities.

Note, the total quota above includes 30 quotas applying the direct admission priority policy. In case the direct admission quota is not enough, the remaining quota will be applied to supplement the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores.
Instructions on how to choose a major code
The major code with the character "TP" applies to candidates with permanent residence in Ho Chi Minh City (determined by the barcode information on the candidate's ID card). The major code with the character "TQ" applies to candidates with permanent residence in other localities. Candidates with permanent residence in Ho Chi Minh City can choose the major code: TP or TQ. Candidates with permanent residence outside Ho Chi Minh City can only choose the major code TQ. Candidates who choose which major code for admission, if admitted and enrolled, will be subject to the regulations for subjects with that major code for the entire course.
Candidates can register their wishes for many majors, the wishes are arranged in order of priority from high to low. In case many wishes are eligible for admission, candidates will only be recognized as admitted and called for admission according to the highest wish.
The total admission score is the total score of the B00 subject combination exams on a 30-point scale (without coefficient) and the total priority score (if any) according to regulations and is rounded to two decimal places.
3 sub-criteria in case of equal scores
Notably, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has proposed 3 sub-criteria to be used in case candidates have the same total admission score. These sub-criteria are considered in the following order of priority: 2023 high school graduation exam score in foreign language; 12th grade average score; 2023 high school graduation exam score in literature. Thus, the literature exam score is considered by the school as the 3rd sub-criteria when considering candidates with the same score.
In case candidates have a foreign language certificate in accordance with regulations, they are exempted from the high school graduation exam in foreign languages and the certificate information is fully updated on the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal, it will be converted to 10 points when considering conditions related to the foreign language exam score.
Estimated tuition fee is highest at 55.2 million VND/year
Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine announced the expected tuition fees for full-time students in the 2023-2024 academic year at two levels. Level 1 is 55.2 million VND, applicable to the following majors: medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry. Level 2 is over 31.6 million VND, applicable to the remaining majors.
According to the instructions of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, candidates applying for admission to the school need to register for admission on the system (through the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal) according to the general admission plan for 2023.
