On the night of June 27, the Y7/141 interdisciplinary task force, led by Major Nguyen The An, set up a checkpoint on Trung Kinh Street, opposite Yen Hoa Secondary School (Cau Giay District, Hanoi), to conduct alcohol concentration checks and handle violations.
Working hours of the working group are from 9:00 p.m. on June 27 to 1:00 a.m. on June 28.
At 9:15 p.m., the task force discovered a motorbike driver with license plate 29N5-91.xx, traveling in the direction of Trung Kinh - Pham Van Bach, showing suspicious signs, so they asked him to stop the vehicle for inspection.
However, at this time, the motorbike driver deliberately avoided and tried to run away, but was promptly stopped by the working group.
At checkpoint 141, the driver's identity was clarified as HTN (30 years old, from Nam Dinh). Through inspection, the working group discovered that Mr. N. violated the level of 0.265 mg/L of breath.
Explaining to the police, Mr. N. said that today he had a friend from his hometown visiting him so they had a few beers. With the above violation, Mr. N. will be fined 4.5 million VND and have his driver's license revoked for 17 months.
About 20 minutes later, the task force suddenly discovered a young man driving a motorbike with license plate 22S1-285.xx, carrying a large black bag on the back, acting suspiciously.
Immediately afterwards, the working group approached and brought people and vehicles to the checkpoint to clarify.
Here, the driver's identity was identified as BVH (26 years old, from Hung Yen). After checking the black bag behind driver H.'s motorbike, the police discovered 2 blue gas cylinders. Speaking to the police, driver H. confessed that these were 2 laughing gas cylinders.
After receiving the incident, the Y7/141 working group handed over the person and evidence to Yen Hoa Ward Police (Cau Giay District, Hanoi) for further investigation.
At the police station, male driver H. confessed that he had gone to shipping groups to find orders.
Then the male driver saw a man posting that he needed to ship goods from Tran Duy Hung street to Cau Giay, so he accepted the order.
"After I picked up the goods from Tran Duy Hung street and transported them to Cau Giay, passing Trung Kinh street, I was suddenly stopped by the 141 task force. I myself did not know that the goods inside were laughing gas," said driver H., claiming that he only received 30,000 VND for this order.
Many drivers turned around and ran away when they saw 141.
Then, at around 10 p.m. the same day, the Y7/141 task force discovered a male motorbike driver with license plate 21V-03.xx, not wearing a helmet, acting suspiciously, so they asked him to stop the vehicle for inspection.
However, when seeing the task force, the male motorbike driver suddenly turned around and ran away, colliding with another vehicle on the road.
However, the task force later controlled and brought the male driver to the checkpoint for clarification. Here, the driver's identity was identified as D.VH (40 years old, from Yen Bai).
Speaking to the police, Mr. H. said he had consumed alcohol. Through alcohol testing, the male driver H. violated the level of 0.201 mg/L of breath.
For this violation, Mr. H. will be fined 2.5 million VND and have his driver's license revoked for 11 months.
According to Dan Tri reporters on the night of June 27, in addition to checking the alcohol levels of motorbike drivers, the Y7/141 task force also checked a series of cars, but did not detect any violations.
Major Nguyen The An, Head of the Y7/141 interdisciplinary working group, said that in cases of people deliberately turning around and running away when seeing the authorities, the working group will resolutely handle and inspect them in accordance with the law.
