Singer Mai Nguyen Anh was born in 1999, into a family with a tradition of art, and from a young age followed his mother, Meritorious Artist Huong Giang, to participate in many artistic activities. Growing up, he studied vocal music at the Military University of Culture and Arts. After graduating, he worked at the Art Troupe of Military Region 2.

Possessing a wide-ranged Southern-Bar voice, mixed with a husky voice, clear rock quality, rich inner strength, wide range, attractive and inspiring light music breath, delicate singing style, confident demeanor..., Mai Nguyen Anh was chosen to participate in many major art programs in and outside the military.

On November 23, according to the results announced by the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Voice of Hanoi, contestant Mai Nguyen Anh from the Military Region 2 Art Troupe excelled over hundreds of contestants to be in the TOP 12 final round of "2024 Voice of Hanoi".

With the theme "Hanoi - a pink heart", the contest "Hanoi's Voice 2024" not only honors the elegant beauty of Hanoi but also depicts the love and pride in the cultural and artistic traditions that the capital has preserved over thousands of years of history.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's contest attracted more than 450 contestants aged 16-35, currently living, working and studying in Hanoi and some contestants have won high prizes in vocal competitions in several provinces and cities.

Mai Nguyen Anh entered the final round of "Hanoi Voice 2024"

The competition consists of 3 rounds: preliminary, semi-final and final. In the preliminary round, contestants will sing their registered songs without any musical accompaniment, thereby clearly expressing their voice, style and musical personality in the most authentic way.

The Organizing Committee will select the 60 best candidates to continue competing in the semi-finals, where the candidates will be supported by a professional orchestra.

With the song SOS, a composition by Bui Caroon, contestant Mai Nguyen Anh had an excellent performance that was highly appreciated by the Organizing Committee in the light music genre and was officially named among the 12 most outstanding voices to enter the final round. The final night was held at the Hanoi Opera House at 8:00 p.m. on November 28 and was broadcast live on VTV2.

Regarding the award structure, the program will award First, Second, and Third prizes for three main music genres: chamber music, folk music, and pop music, along with secondary prizes such as: "Best contestant singing about Hanoi" and "Most favorite contestant by the audience".
