Searching and honoring talented young voices of the Capital

Baoquocte.vn. Starting from November 12, the contest "Hanoi's Voice" officially returns, bringing a colorful musical party, sending love for the Capital to all audiences.

This is a cultural and artistic event practically organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and 1014 years of Thang Long - Hanoi.

According to Mr. Do Dinh Hong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, the "Hanoi Voice" contest started in 1997 and has become a prestigious cultural and artistic event, leaving a deep impression on the hearts of music lovers in the capital.

Over the years, the competition has not only sought out outstanding singers, but has also been a cradle for nurturing and developing great talents for Vietnamese music.

Leading artists such as People's Artist Tan Minh, Diva Hong Nhung, My Linh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Tung Duong and many other famous artists have emerged from this competition, becoming excellent singers of the capital's and the country's music.

Throughout its development, the competition has become an important part in affirming and maintaining the strong development of the capital's music industry. Generations of contestants not only demonstrate their talents but also bring with them their love and pride for the culture and people of Hanoi, contributing to the diversity and depth of modern music.

According to Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Do Dinh Hong, this year's competition, with the gathering of young singers, promises to bring an impressive, emotional musical space, where each contestant has the opportunity to express their passion, aspiration and love for music.

The theme “Hanoi – A pink heart” is the central message throughout the contest, not only honoring the elegant beauty of Hanoi, but also depicting the love and pride in the cultural and artistic traditions that the Capital has preserved over thousands of years of history.

The songs and voices that resounded from the contest were not only the hearts of the contestants, but also the echoes of generations of Hanoians, as a gratitude to the land that nurtured their spirit and talent.

The organizers said that this year's contest attracted the participation of 400 contestants from 16 to 35 years old, currently living, working and studying in Hanoi and a number of contestants who have won high prizes in vocal competitions in several provinces and centrally run cities.

The competition consists of three main rounds: Preliminary round, Semi-final round and Final night. In the Preliminary round, contestants will sing their registered songs without any musical accompaniment, thereby clearly expressing their voice, style and musical personality in the most authentic way.

Regarding the Jury, the Organizing Committee invited judges such as People's Artist Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Hanoi Artists Association; People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Tan Minh; Artist Tan Nhan, singer Lan Anh...

The organizers will select the 60 best candidates to continue competing in the Semi-finals, and will be supported by a professional orchestra.

The Final Round will be a night of brilliance for the 12 most outstanding singers, where they will perform in front of the Jury and the audience with songs about Hanoi and a song of their own choice.

The final night is scheduled to be held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace and will be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television, bringing a colorful musical party, sending love for the Capital to all audiences.

Through each round, the contestants will not only demonstrate their skills and stage presence, but also express their love, passion and desire to contribute to music, while also expressing their love for Hanoi.

Regarding the award structure, the "Hanoi Voice 2024" contest will award First, Second, and Third prizes for three main music genres: Chamber Music, Folk Music, and Light Music, along with secondary prizes such as the Best Contestant Singing About Hanoi Award and the Most Popular Contestant Award.
